Yvonne Hamers

Yvonne Mitza Hamers, 85, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2021. Yvonne was born on August 24, 1935 in Indonesia to the late Hendrik and Josephine John Klein. As a child, she moved from Indonesia to the Netherlands where she spent the majority of her youth. In 1961, she moved with her family to America. She earned a degree as a practical nurse and in later years was employed by Dr. Tan, whom she worked for many years prior to her retirement. She was married to the love of her life Rene Hamers. They had a love for each other that was immeasurable, not just husband and wife but best friends. Yvonne was a born caregiver, taking care of her parents for many years and then her brother up till his passing. Her family was her life and she cherished every moment with them.
Yvonne is survived by a sister, Maleine Soffner and brothers Jan John Klein and Gritsko John Klein and his wife Maria. Her loving nieces and nephew, Gritsko John Klein, Hendrik John Klein, Debra Sperber, Arthur Soffner, Margeley Bernal and Glenn Soffner.
Yvonne is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Armand Hamers, Wim Hamers and his wife Margareta, Albert Hamers and his wife Mari-Anne, and her sister-in-law Yvonne Hamers. As well as her loving nieces and nephews, Renee, Paul, Bob, Marinke and Merel. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Eugene John Klein and brother-in-law Walter Soffner.
Her husband and best friend Rene Hamers passed on the same day as Yvonne on January 25, 2021. Yvonne and her husband Rene will be entombed together at Somerset Hills Mausoleum. All services will be private.
