William Wayne Thompson, 73, of Washington, NJ passed away peacefully on June 8, 2018 at home. He was born on February 20, 1945 in Cedar Knolls, NJ to the late William and Elizabeth Thompson. William formerly resided in Hackettstown, NJ. He was a graduate of Morristown, High School. William proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was employed as a plumber and owned and operated his own business Wilbren Inc. prior to his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0164. William enjoyed fishing and antique cars. He was an avid NY Giants fan. He also enjoyed watching National Geographic on television. He was a huge Sopranos fan. Above all he loved his family. He will be sadly missed. He is survived by his loving sons, William P. Thompson, Timothy F. Thompson, and Kenneth E. Thompson. His caring sisters, Marilyn Richards and Janice Cecere. He also leaves behind his companion Catherine At the family's request, services will be held privately.
