Virginia is predeceased by her husband Joseph Peters, and her siblings; Patricia Offener, James Maher, and Patrick Maher.
Virginia lived a full life. She was a strong independent woman who worked hard to teach each of her children the value of family. Her nick name was the "Great White Mother" and she became a tigress to protect her young, and in return her children showered her with love and laughter.
She took pride in her Irish heritage and her four-leaf clover charm was her signature. Virginia enjoyed Atlantic City, reading, mobster movies, word find and Facebook, but most of all she loved shopping. Her laugh was infectious, and she found the silliest things funny. Her second vice was her sweet tooth. Virginia would choose ice-cream and cake over food any day.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made in Virginia's name to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, http://www.stjude.org/
