Virginia Hampton Brandt, 95, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on October 23, 2018 at the House of the Good Shepherd in Hackettstown, NJ
Virginia was born on July 10, 1923 in New York, NY to the late Edward and Helen Hampton.
Virginia married the love of her life, Philip H. Brandt, together they had two sons and resided in Whippany, NJ until his passing at a young age in 1956. She earned her Bachelor's degree at Rutgers University and was employed by Suburban Propane until her retirement in 1991. She was of the Episcopalian faith and a parishioner of Grace Episcopal Church in Madison, NJ. Virginia was very active with the church. She also was past president and past secretary for the Morris Township Senior Club and took pride in writing the monthly newsletter. She belonged to a bridge club in Madison, enjoyed traveling and was an expert at solving the NY Times crossword puzzles. Above all she loved her family, she will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her loving children, sons, Douglas E. Brandt and his wife Jane, Steven P. Brandt and his wife Terry Ann. Her cherished granddaughters, Stephanie Kowalski and her husband David and Danielle Beck and her husband Caleb. She also leaves behind her treasured great-granddaughter, Arianna Kowalski.
As per Virginia's wishes, all services will be held privately.
