Vincent J. Waclawicz “Vinny”, 75, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ passed away suddenly in Roxbury, NJ.

Vinny was born on July 2, 1949 in Passaic, NJ to the late Vincent and Sarah Waclawicz.

He married the love of his life Evelyne (nee; Ponthou) in 1975. Previously residing in Mount Arlington, NJ they moved to Lake Hopatcong in 1985 where they raised their 3 children. Vinny was employed as an electrical technician at Kearfott Corporation for 50 years prior to his retirement in 2020. Vinny was a train enthusiast and a member of the Phillipsburg Railroad Historians and enjoyed collecting model railroads. He also was an avid photographer, a fan of old movies and big foodie. He was an animal lover, especially his cat Mr. Lenny P Cat. Vinny had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories and make people laugh. Above all he loved his family and the times spent together. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his devoted wife of almost 50 years Evelyne Waclawicz, his loving children; Jason Vincent Waclawicz and his wife Georgianna, Michelle Janine Peterson and her husband DJ and Scott Marcel Waclawicz and his wife Stephanie.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Monday, January 6, 2025 from 3-7PM at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ and again on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 from 11 AM – 12 PM. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery, Mountain Ave., Hackettstown, NJ
