Susanne “Suzy” Wiatrak, 65 of Plainfield, NJ, a resident of Hackettstown for many years and formerly of West Orange and Berkley Heights NJ passed away peacefully on May 24, 2024 at JFK Memorial Hospital in Edison, NJ

Susanne fondly known as Suzy or Suzy Q was born on September 17, 1958 in Paterson NJ daughter to the late Matthew and Patricia Gormley.

At the age of 25, Susanne blessed the Gormley household when she became a part of their family. Patricia and Matthew Gormley lovingly welcomed her into the family. Suzy brought so much joy to the house and loved having sisters. She was employed at Abilities in Washington and also through day programs with Pillar Care Continuum in both Orange Township and Irvington. Suzy’s love was Elvis Presley she enjoyed dancing, bowling, Uno, lifetime movies, swimming, bingo, cards, summer camp and most of all a good party. Above all she loved being with her family. She will be greatly missed here on earth but joyously welcomed home by her parents, Patricia and Matthew Gormley.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Dawn Mirko and her husband Roy and Michele Baran and her husband Shawn. Her nieces and nephews; Kyle, Craig, Carlee and Peyton and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Susanne also leaves behind her many friends at Pillar Care Continuum. In addition to her parents Matthew and Patricia Gormley, she is also preceded in death by her sister, Ginger Lee Gormley.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Maguire Memorial Home & Cremation Services, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation in the funeral home at 12:00. Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ
