Susan A Byrne

Susan A. Byrne, 75, of Hackettstown died peacefully on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at home. She was born in Bronx, NY on September 5, 1942 to the late Leroy J. and Susan Staib Hickey.
Susan resided in Hackettstown, NJ for forty-two years and was employed as a secretary at Centenary University's Business Office. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and ceramics. Susan collected both bells and carousel horses. While a fan of the world famous New York Yankees, Susan loved nothing more than playing cards with her grandkids.
She is survived by her loving children; her daughter, Susan Patchunka, her son, Scott Walsh and his wife Eileen. She also leaves behind her four cherished grandchildren: Casey Patchunka, and Sarah, Colin, and William Walsh, along with her brother, Leroy Hickey. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 26 years, James C. Byrne, who passed in 2001.
As per Susan's wishes, all services will be held privately.
