Stephen A Maher

Stephen A. Maher, 76 of Budd Lake, NJ passed away peacefully on February 19, 2023 at Hackettstown Medical Center.

Stephen was born on January 31, 1947 in Morristown, NJ to the late Andrew and Elizabeth Maher.

Stephen attended Hanover Park High School where he excelled in wrestling and baseball. He enjoyed deep sea fishing and sun bathing. Stephen also like being outdoors doing wood splitting and taking long walks with his dog. Stephen was employed at Flanders Tool and Die from 1968 until 2006. He also worked as a custodian for the Chester Board of Education.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife Deborah Maher, his daughter Amy Gallogly and her husband Brian, his son Andrew Maher and his wife Kimberly, his cherished grandchildren Caroline, Patrick, John, Gavin, his caring sister Patricia Wallace, loving niece Susan Thomas, nephew Rob Wallace and several cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in- law, Robert Wallace and his beloved dog Hunter.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, March 5, 2023 from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Memorial Service celebrating Stephen’s life will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the funeral home
