Sharon Gilbert

Sharon Louise Gilbert, 69, of Mesa Arizona, previously of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on November 29, 2018.
Sharon was born on March 11, 1949 in Hackettstown, NJ to the late Henry and Vivian Douma.
Sharon was a graduate of Hackettstown High School Class of 1967. She went on to further her education at Northeastern University in Boston. Sharon moved to Arizona where she was employed as a purchaser for Newbury's Department Store for many years. Sharon was a very talented artist. Her drawings will be cherished for years to come. She was a fan of Rock and Roll and loved the Beatles. Most recently, she enjoyed making beaded jewelry. Above all she loved her family. She cherished her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.
Sharon is survived by her loving son Donal Gilbert and his wife Dana, her treasured grandchildren, Caleigh and Jacob Gilbert, her caring siblings, Barbara Jean Muller, Shirley Ann Fleming, Hilda Mae Douma, Carolyn Elizabeth Douma and Richard Douma. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister Nancy Louis Zucker.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11 AM -12:00 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be take place at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown.
