Sharon Lee Demeo

Sharon L. Demeo, 73, of Hackettstown NJ, formerly of Netcong, NJ passed away peacefully on July 10, 2019 at her home, with loved ones by her side.
Sharon was born on February 22, 1946 at Dover General Hospital, Dover, NJ. She was a graduate of West Morris High School. Sharon worked at Shoprite in Netcong and Hackettstown as a cashier and also in the courtesy department for 43 years before her retirement in 2010. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Netcong, NJ. Sharon enjoyed collecting dolls in her free time, and she had a passion for animals.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, John Demeo. She is also survived by her son John Demeo Jr. Sharon also leaves behind her loving sister-in-law Antoinette Romain, and brother-in-law's, Frank, Lewis, and Mike Demeo. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her brother, Bernard "Bernie" Burdge.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 from 10:00AM to 11:00 at Maguire- Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Memorial service will immediately follow visitation at 11:00AM in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharon's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
