Sergio Segundo Leyton

Sergio Segundo Leyton, 71, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on July 18, 2022, at Hackettstown Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ. Sergio was born on October 5, 1950 in Santiago, Chile. Sergio was a devout Catholic. He married the love of his life Maria Manuel Ortez Leyton in May of 1984. Sergio resided in Hackettstown for 32 years and previously lived in Mansfield, NJ. Prior to his retirement in 2020, he was a self employed carpenter with a talented ability for the art of construction. He also worked at Elastimold in Hackettstown, NJ. He will be sadly missed. Sergio was a member of the Hackettstown Moose Lodge and enjoyed woodworking and soccer. Sergio is survived by his devoted wife; Maria M. Leyton; loving children; John Larry Leyton, Grisel America Leyton and Diana Maria Arancibia Leyton. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren; McKayla Leyton, Jessenia Manley, Stella Arancibia and Benjamin Leyton. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 6-8:30PM at Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 8:30PM in the funeral home.
