Sara Phillips

Sara Ann Phillips, 40, of Phillipsburg, NJ passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025 in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Sara was born on August 7, 1985 in Sarasota, Florida to the late Robert Frederick Phillips and Carol (nee; Morgan) Phillips.

She was a graduate of Hopatcong High School. Sara had a heart and soul of pure gold, loved others, and brightened the lives of those around her. She was a beautiful, kind, loving, funny, generous, creative, and brightly shining star, and we will keep her light shining for all the world to see. Sara loved God, praying, and would often pray for those dear to her. She enjoyed arts & crafts, shopping and being outdoors. She was an animal lover, and a huge Disney fan. She particularly loved Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, as well as Winnie the Pooh. Sara could often be found watching a favorite television series or movie, journaling, working on her latest word search, or planning her next outing-whether it be shopping, going for ice cream, or to the park. Sara's favorite color was purple, as was evident in her room decor and much of her clothing, and she loved butterflies too. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Sara will be so deeply and sadly missed, but the love and beautiful memories that she has left us with will never fade away.

Sara is survived by her loving mother Carol Phillips, sister and best friend, Amy Phillips, and half-sister, Amie Lisa. She also leaves behind her niece Ella Morgan Irwin, her maternal grandmother Gladys Morgan, her lifelong best friend, Joanne DeRiancho, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other beloved family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Phillips and her maternal grandfather, Walter Morgan, Sr.

A Memorial service celebrating Sara's life will be held at a later date.
