Russell Potter

Russell J. Potter, 69, of Hackettstown, NJ (formerly of Glen Gardner, NJ) passed away on October 6, 2025 at home.

Russell was born on June 22, 1956 in Phillipsburg, NJ to the late George Potter and Beatrice (nee; Hartrum) Reed.

He was a graduate of North Hunterdon High School. Russell was most recently employed as a gas attendant, prior to that he was employed at Kappus Plastic for many years. Russell retired in 2021. He was an avid fisherman and loved trout fishing. Russell enjoyed Bingo and playing the lottery. He also was a football fan.

Russell is survived by his children; Joshua Potter, John Potter, Shawda Keich, Jake Potter and Joseph Potter and the mother of his children Diane Potter. He also leaves behind his siblings; George Potter and his wife Doris, Sherry Peer and her husband Albert, Anna Peer and her husband John and Kevin Reed and his wife Laura, and 2 granddaughters. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by a brother Roger Potter and his step-father who raised him Russell Reed.

Abiding with his wishes all services will be held privately.
