Rudolph "Rudy" Pasko

Rudolph “Rudy” Pasko, 90, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice in Fredon, NJ with his loving family by his side.


Rudy was born on May 31, 1934 in Great Meadows, NJ to the late Thomas and Mary Pasko.


Rudy was a graduate of Hackettstown High School class of 1952. He married the love of his life Edna (nee; Chamberlain) on October 25, 1958. Rudy proudly served his country in the United States Army. A lifelong resident of Great Meadows, he and his brother Edward Pasko Sr. owned and operated Pasko Brothers Excavating Company. He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church in Great Meadows. The Pasko Brothers built and donated the upper parking lot for the church.


During his time in the Army, Rudy was in the US Military Band where he played the clarinet in Nuremberg, Germany. He loved to attend the Polish Festivals and dance the Polka. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree. Rudy was community driven and past Mayor of Liberty Township where he also served on the planning board for over 20 years and was on the special police force. He loved to travel, especially the United States. Above all he loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them. He will be greatly missed.


Rudy is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Edna Pasko, his loving children; Kristine Pasko and Kathleen Mundt and her husband Jeff. His cherished grandchildren; Meghan Mundt, Ryan Pasko and Emily Mundt.


Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 9-11:00 AM at Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will take place at Pequest Union Cemetery, 30 Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ 07838


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rudy’s name to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, 202 Veterans Road, Bangor, PA 18013


Arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home.
