Rosemarie V Quigley

Rosemarie Quigley, 89, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on December 3, 2023, at her family home where she resided for 61 years.

She was born on March 4, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York to the late Rose and Charles Fritz.

She graduated high school from Bishop McDonnell High School for Girls in Brooklyn, NY. Rosemarie married her beloved, Edward “Ed” Quigley on November 12, 1954, and they celebrated 46 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2000. She worked and volunteered throughout her life in various roles including bank teller, salesclerk, hospital housekeeping, crossing guard, voting booths, after school care and treasury support at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was a member of the Rosary Society of St. Mary’s, Knights of Columbus, Red Hatters, and Rosary Society of the Lady of the Mountain Church. She attended the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She was also a Eucharistic minister at the church as well as the homebound. She loved her family very much and was referred to, affectionately, as “Grandma Rosie” by her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving children: Gary (Patty ) Quigley, MaryAnn Stilson, and Sharon Quigley (Nancy). She is survived by 7 grandchildren: Dwain Stilson, Dawn Karvis, Brian Donnelly, Erin Donnelly, Lauren Donnelly, Jill Weaver, and Kevin Quigley. She is survived by 7 great-grandchildren: Arianna and Brianna Stilson, Kiarra and Kambrie Karvis, and Hannah, Noah, and Jonah Weaver. She is predeceased by her beloved daughter: Kathleen Donnelly.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 2-6 PM at Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
