Rosalie A Eskow

Rosalie "Rose" A. Eskow, 70, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026, at Complete Care at Barn Hill in Newton, New Jersey.

Born on March 11, 1956, in Newton, New Jersey, Rose was the beloved daughter of Andrew and Josephine Eskow (née Zukoski).

Rose had a passion for cooking and bringing people together through food, which she did for years as operator and chef of Kelly Family Catering. She especially enjoyed preparing meals for her family and creating lasting memories around the table. A devoted member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Rose volunteered in service to her church community and was known for her kindness, warm spirit, and resilience in the face of adversity.

She is survived by her children, Matthew Smith and his wife, Abigail Hillinger; Amanda Smith and her husband, Ryan Beckman; and Dylan Eskow-Doueck. She was a proud grandmother to Willow, Maya, and Oscar. Rose is also survived by her siblings, Andrew, Gloria, Eugene, Joe, and Raymond; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Melody Smith, and her brother, Stanley Eskow.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Maguire Memorial Home. A Service of Remembrance will begin at 11:00 a.m., followed by a religious service in the funeral home at 11:30 a.m.

Inurnment will follow at Pequest Union Cemetery.

Rose's love for her family, her faith, and her community will be remembered always by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
