Robert Vinson

Robert Vinson, 70, of Hackettstown, NJ (fondly known as Bobby V) passed away peacefully on September 21, 2020 at home with his loving wife by his side. Bob was born on February 4, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Christian and Edith Vinson. He was lovingly raised by his dad and step-mother Suzie Vinson.
He married the love of his life, Judy Hoffmann (Moore) in 2010. He was of Presbyterian faith. Before moving to New Jersey, he was a member of Freedom Plains Presbyterian Church. He was presently a member of Panther Valley Ecumenical Church. Together, with love, he blended a family of many children and step children. He was very proud of his Waldensian Heritage and was a member of the Waldensian Society. Bob was employed as a Nuclear Power Operator for Con-Edison and retired in 2005. Bob was an avid photographer and a long time volunteer fireman in LaGrange, New York for SW Phelps Company 1. Upon moving to New Jersey he became a member of the Allamuchy Fire Department. Bob was a lifelong soccer player and a fan of the New Jersey Devils and the New York Jets. He also enjoyed racing along the back country roads with Judy in their Miata and the LVMOC Club. Above all Bob enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.
He is survived by his devoted wife Judy Vinson, his loving children, Erica Vinson-Ondecko and her husband Gary; Christine Vinson; Douglas Vinson; Kelly Vinson; Laura Cargile and her husband Jacob; Step-children; Rebecca Ruff and her husband John; Rachael Stavros and her husband Dan; Aaron Moore and his wife Kim. His cherished grandchildren: Richie, Jayla, Josie, Ava, John, Greyson, Katalina, and Trey. He is also survived by his best friend Ken Belleti and by brothers and sister-in-laws Randy and Dawn Hoffmann, Bill and Claudette Hoffmann, and Jim Hoffmann. In abiding with Robert's wishes all services are PRIVATE.
