Robert Feranec

Robert Feranec, 87, of Hackettstown, NJ, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, at home with his loving family by his side.

Robert was born on February 10, 1939, in Aliquippa, PA, to the late Dominick and Mary Feranec.

He earned his Master's Degree from Maryknoll and after leaving the seminary early, Robert married the love of his life, Carolyn (nee; Brady) Feranec in 1967. They resided in Little Ferry for 2 years prior to moving to Hackettstown, NJ. Robert had a long and successful career in the textile industry as the Vice-President of Raxon Fabrics in New York City and retired in 2003. He also worked as the Coordinator at the Blue Army Shrine in Washington, NJ.

Robert enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a talented guitarist. Above all, he cherished his family and every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Carolyn, his loving children: Robert Feranec and his wife Kelley, Bethany O'Connor and her husband George, Michael Feranec and his wife Amy, Rebecca Sullivan and her husband Andrew; treasured grandchildren: Patrick, Brendan, Reese, Iain, Michael, Connor, Brady, Evan, Landon, Andrew, Hailey, Naomi, and Wesley. He also leaves behind his siblings: Donald Feranec, Carol Harrington, and Susan Feranec. Robert is preceded in death by a daughter, Christine Feranec Rice.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's name to a charity of one's choice.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
