Robert "Bobby" J. Despres, 59, of Morris Plains, NJ passed away on July 30, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center. Robert was born on August 14, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Ronald and Edna Despres. Bobby was a graduate of Hackettstown High School class of 1983. Bobby spent many years with the Arc of Warren County and Abilities of Northwest Jersey and most recently Avidd of Morris County. Bobby loved music – He would always have the radio on and be ready to tell you who the artist was. In addition to receiving his favorite gifts of radios and watches, he enjoyed going to the movies and liked greeting everyone he knew with a hug. Bobby loved any party with music, dancing, and good food – especially cake. He will be missed by all the people who had the opportunity to spend time with him. He is survived by his Brothers; Ronald Despres and his wife Cheryl, Adam Despres, and Peter Despres and his wife Kim. Bobby also leaves behind his nieces; Emily and Katie, and his nephews; Peter and Derrick. In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his brother Anthony, who passed in 2018. Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Maguire- Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A mass of Catholic burial will take place at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Mountain Church, Long Valley, NJ. Burial at Pequest Union Cemetery will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bobby's name to the Arc of Warren County at www.arcwarren.org. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire- Scala Memorial Home.
