Robert C. Banghart, 71, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away peacefully on March 11, 2019 at Compassionate Care Hospice in Dover, NJ
Robert was born on October 20, 1947 at home in Succasunna, NJ to the late Clarence and Elsie Banghart.
Robert was a graduate of West Morris Regional High School. He was a self-employed contractor after retiring from the Boro of Butler as the Superintendent of WWT. He was a talented woodworker and truly loved building things. He married the love of his life, Christine, and moved to Budd Lake 39 years ago to raise their family. He was an avid bowler and softball player. His most recent, cherished moments came from playing for the Die Hards of the Morris - Essex Softball League and coaching his grandson's baseball team. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, and was a huge NY Jets fan. Above all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed.
Robert is survived by his devoted wife, Christine Banghart, his loving daughters, Amy Rubin and her husband, Andrew and Bethanny Brockett and her husband, Matthew. His treasured grandchildren, Benjamin, Mason and Remington are honored to share in his legacy and proudly cherish his memories.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4-7:30PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 7:30 in the funeral home and all who would like to speak or share are welcome. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 4-7 PM at the Circle Bowl and Entertainment, 1107 US Hwy. 46, Ledgewood, NJ 07852 All family and friends are welcome to attend!
