Rene C Hamers

Rene C. Hamers, 86, of Budd Lake, NJ passed away unexpectedly on January 25, 2021. Rene was born on July 12, 1934 in Sukabumi, Indonesia to the late Wilhem Hamers and Wilhemina de Hertogh.
He studied Engineering at the Technical University Haarlem (Werktuigbouw aan de Hogere Technische School te Haarlem). He was employed as an Engineer Draftsman at Hoffman LaRoche for many years prior to his retirement. He married the love of his life Yvonne John Klein. They had a love for each other that was immeasurable, not just husband and wife but best friends. Rene loved the outdoors and took great pride in his gardens. The flower beds were meticulous, and he truly enjoyed tending to the lawn. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife.
Rene is survived by his brothers, Armand Hamers, Wim Hamers and his wife Margareta, Albert Hamers and his wife Mari-Anne, and his sister Yvonne Hamers. His loving nieces and nephews, Renee, Paul, Bob, Marinke and Merel. Rene is also survived by a sister-in-law, Maleine Soffner and brothers-in-law Jan John Klein and Gritsko John Klein and his wife Maria. His loving nieces and nephew, Gritsko John Klein, Hendrik John Klein, Debra Sperber, Arthur Soffner, Margeley Bernal and Glenn Soffner.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Eugene John Klein and Walter Soffner. His wife and best friend Yvonne Hamers passed on the same day as Yvonne on January 25, 2021.
Rene and his wife Yvonne will be entombed together at Somerset Hills Mausoleum. All services will be private.
