Regina 'Virginia' Tomczyk

Regina "Virginia" Tomczyk, 92, of Paragon Village, Hackettstown, NJ formerly of the Villages, Fl and Hillside NJ, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2017 in Hackettstown Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ
Born on January 29, 1925 in Newark, NJ to the late Joseph and Suzanne Popiolek. Regina was a graduate of Newark High School. She married the love of her life Joseph in 1943. They celebrated 54 years of marriage before his passing in 1997. Regina was employed in the accounts receivable department at Kraft Foods in Hillside, NJ prior to her retirement in 1978. She was of the Catholic faith. Regina enjoyed playing cards with her friends, daily exercise routines and was an avid reader. She became very involved socially upon moving to Paragon Village. Her favorite pastime was shopping, often buying items because they were too good of a deal to pass up. She will be remembered as a chronic worrier by her children, always thinking of her family and others. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all.
She is survived by her loving children, 2 sons, Kenneth Tomczyk and his wife Helena, Joseph Tomczyk Jr. and his wife Patricia. 3 treasured grandchildren, William, John and Gregory. 3 great-grandchildren, Brianna, Cassidy and Mark. Her caring sister, Jessica Wisniewski. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 54 years, Joseph Tomczyk.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Church Of The Assumption Of The Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Burial will be held privately.
