Raymond Nash Whitesell

Raymond Nash Whitesell, 87, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on July 23, 2017 at Forest Manor Care Center in Hope, NJ with his loving family by his side.
Raymond was born on February 19, 1930 in Newark, NJ to the late Raymond Sr. and Jeanette Whitesell.
Raymond was a graduate of West Orange High School class of 1948. Shortly after graduation he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during the Korean War. Upon his return from active duty he married the love of his life Janet in 1950. Raymond was employed as a Milkman in Madison, NJ and a truck driver for AAA Truck in Pine Brook, NJ. He retired in 1989.
Raymond was of the Presbyterian faith. His hobbies included Gun collecting and coin collecting. He loved cars. He enjoyed helping others and was involved with the church. He will be best known as an amazing family man. He loved his family and treasured every moment spent with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Janet Whitesell, his loving children, 2 sons, Raymond Whitesell III and his wife Deborah, Richard Whitesell and his wife Lisa, 4 daughters, Carol Clarke, Jane Santucci and her husband Robert, Joan Schoener, Nancy Searcy and her husband Paul. 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchidren.
Family and Friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 10:30AM-12:30PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Funeral service will be immediately following the visitation in the funeral home at 12:30PM Burial will immediately follow service at the Pequest Union Cemetery in Great Meadows, NJ
