Raymond AbiYounes, 62, of Hackettstown, New Jersey passed away suddenly on December 25, 2018 at home. Raymond was born on April 28, 1956 in Ehmaj, Lebanon to the late Phillipe and Afife AbiYounes. He earned his Master's degree in Interior Design from the School of Fine Arts and Architecture at the Lebanese University. He was a very talented designer and artist who was highly sought after for his exquisite work. He married the love of his life Nelly Nader and recently celebrated 29 years of marriage. He moved to the United States in 1989 where he worked and resided for almost 30 years. Through his work primarily as a professional driver, but also as an interior designer and artist, Raymond forged relationships and dear friendships with many of his clients. In fact, most of the people Raymond interacted with were more like friends and family to him. He loved to drive. Raymond avidly read the news, especially the Lebanese news. He enjoyed traveling and spent time in Paris, Italy and Turkey. He liked playing and watching sports and ran track all through his time in school. He earned many accolades for his running. Above all he loved his family and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his devoted wife Nelly Nader, his loving sons, Philipe and Noah and the following family in New Jersey and Lebanon.
In New jersey: Nabil Youssef Nader, his wife Lorrie Federico Nader and his kids, Alexandra Vittoria Nader, Rania Nicole Nader, and Raquel Hannah Nader. Habib Sleiman Boulos, his wife Lina Nader Boulos and their kids, Sleiman Habib Boulos and his wife Stephania Maksad Boulos and Sandra Belle Boulos. Wassim Youssef Nader, his wife Jennifer Hedstrom Nader and their children Grayson Catherine Nader and Joseph Michael, and his adopted sister, Karen Wenschhof.
In Lebanon, his sisters, Renee, her deceased husband Charbel Daher, and their children Roland, Elissa, Carolyne, and Angela. Maggie, her husband George ElJouni, and their children Crystale and Cibell. Maya, her husband Sammy Mahfouz, and their children Tara and Jad. His Brothers: George, his wife Souraya ElJouni, and their son Charbel. Jean, his wife Janette, and Jean's children Alexandre and Sophie.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his newborn daughter Rita.
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life. Romans 6:4
Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday December 30, 2018 from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the St. Sharbel Maronite Catholic Church, 526 Easton Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873
