Portia Shelly Jillmarie Ashby

Portia Shelly Jillmarie Ashby, 54 of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on March 28, 2021 at home with her loving son by her side.
Portia was born on September 13, 1966 in Trinidad to the late Calson and Shirley (nee; Cumberbatch) McNellie. Portia earned her associates degree from Essex County College. She was employed as a purchaser of laser accessories. She was a parishioner of Hillcrest Seven Day Adventist Church where she taught Sabbath School. Portia was an excellent cook and enjoyed planning events for her family and friends.
She was a talented make-up artist and often would do makeup for wedding parties.
She was always helping others and was a true humanitarian and contributed to several charitable organizations. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Portia is survived by her devoted son Daniel Rodulfo and her extended family, Curtrissa Degale, Curtice Degale, grandchildren Kaiden, Caleeya, Aidan and Christian Degale. Family and Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, April 1st, 2021 from 9-11AM and again from 5-7 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
