Paul F. Baumiller Sr., 80, of Fulton, NY formally of Independence, NJ passed away peacefully on April 7, 2018 with his family by his side. Paul was born on June 21, 1937 in Montclair, NJ to the late August and May Baumiller. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He married his first wife Patricia Ann Dickinson while serving in the Air Force. Together they raised 3 children until her passing in 1991. Paul worked as a contractor, and in 1973 opened his own heating and air-conditioning business, All-Temp Service Co in Hackettstown NJ, which he operated until his retirement in 2002 when his son Paul Jr. took over the business. Paul remarried and recently celebrated 25 years of marriage with his second wife Marie. Paul served his community as a member and 2 time past Chief of the Independence Fire Department and a life member of the NJ State Fireman's Association. He was of the Catholic faith. Paul was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating and woodworking. He enjoyed target shooting and was a member of local gun clubs. Above all his favorite past times, Paul loved his family and treasured every moment spent with them. He is survived by his devoted wife Marie Grimm, his loving children, Paul Baumiller Jr. and his wife Angela, Valerie Woodruff and her husband Dennis and Peter Baumiller. 4 step-daughters, Colleen Cashill, Karen Lee and her husband Brad, Patricia Takeuchi and her husband Toru and Kristen Good and her husband Christopher. Grandchildren, Seth, Rebecca and her husband Greg, Anna, Jackie and her fiancée Matthew and Jason Munson. Step-grandchildren, Conor and his wife Liz, Taylor, Regan and her husband Jason, Hannah, Brendan and his wife Rayleigh, Cash, Christopher, and Adam, also 1 great-grandchild Timothy.
Paul is also survived by one brother Gilbert Baumiller of Ship Bottom NJ, and predeceased by his sister May Battista of Bloomfield, NJ in 2012. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Scala Memorial Home 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home.
