Patricia A Brophy

Patricia A. Brophy, 72, of Flanders, NJ passed away on February 12, 2021 at Morristown Medical Center. She was born on November 29, 1948 in Irvington, NJ to the late Michael and Mary Babitsky. Patricia was a graduate of Irvington High School class of 1966. She worked many years in the customer service industry and most recently she worked for Benjamin Moore until her retirement in 2005. Patricia was an avid gardener and she enjoyed decorating for special occasions and holidays. In her free time she enjoyed watching General Hospital and playing Candy Crush and Words with Friends. Most of all she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters; Cheryl Conte and her husband Rich, and Michelle Toohey and her husband Tom. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Danny, Kristin, Daniella, and Sarah. Patricia also leaves behind her best friend and companion of many years, Christopher Wood. In addition to her parents, Patricia is predeceased by her husband Daniel Brophy, who passed in 1998. She is also predeceased by her sister, Carol Chakiris, her brother in law, Pete Chakiris, and her sister in law, Veronica Brophy. Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 9:00AM to 10:30 AM with a Catholic service starting at 10:30 AM at Maguire- Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Burial will immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
