Maureen Ann Bloom

In loving memory of Maureen Bloom (Pratt), 71, a cherished resident of Hackettstown, NJ, who called the town home since childhood, graduate of Hackettstown High School, Class of 1970. Devoted wife to Frank Bloom for over 40 years, loving mother to Tiffany and Andrew; sister to Robert Pratt and his wife Dottie, sister to Thomas Pratt; daughter of the late Robert and Evelyn Pratt.

A talented hairdresser, Maureen brought joy and style to many working as a hairdresser for almost 50 years, many of those spent at Sharon’s Hairstylists. Her passion for playing slots at the casino and exploring new ones during travels with Frank added excitement to her life (especially the time she hit for $10k on a penny machine in Aruba!)

Maureen, also known as “Mo” found immense joy in caring for her family through baking, her personal favorites being whoopie pies, chocolate Easter eggs, and sugar cookies with cherries, lovingly and jokingly referred to as tumor cookies. Her knack for jigsaw puzzles and the quiet enjoyment of reading library books reflected her thoughtful and contemplative spirit. Maureen was a member of Panther Valley Ecumenical Ministries and spent many years volunteering her time to run Sunday School and various other activities. These simple yet cherished moments were a testament to her nurturing, thoughtful nature and will be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be part of her life.

Maureen touched the hearts of those around her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
