Mary Madison

Mary Madison, age 88 of Hackettstown passed away peacefully on Monday, November 28, 2016 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born February 25, 1928 in Jersey City, NJ. She is the daughter of the late Nykolaj and Fanny (Szcerba) Heryla. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Steve Heryla and Theodore Frank Czura.
Mary graduated from Hackettstown High School in 1946. She met and married the love of her life, Martin (Mattie) Madison to whom she was married for 41 years. They resided together in Great Meadows, NJ until his passing in 2005.
She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Larsen and her husband, Eric and Lori Van De Wal and her husband, Eric; four cherished grandchildren, Evan, Lauren, Zackary and Joshua; three caring sisters, Eve Phoebus, Helen King and Ann Platt and one brother, Mike Heryla.
She will be greatly missed by all especially her grandchildren, with whom she created so many wonderful memories and adored with all her heart.
In abiding with the family's wishes, funeral services will be private.
