Mary G Lucero

Mary G. Lucero, 92, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully at home on October 2, 2016. Born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, Mary was the daughter of the late Alfredo Gallegos and Juanita Sanchez Gallegos.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Aurora Sanchez, Alice Lucero and Louise Gabaldon. Mary is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Samuel Trujillo, and her beloved granddaughters, Samantha Trujillo and Stephanie Trujillo Langsett. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Anita Sanchez, Theresa Lucente, Fred Lucero, Steven Sanchez, James Sanchez and Eric Sanchez, all of whom she dearly loved.
Mary lived most of her life in Albuquerque, where she raised her daughter with love and dedication as a single mother. She then went on to dote on her two granddaughters. Having sold her home, she accompanied Janet, Sam and her granddaughters through moves to many states. Nana has always, and will always, watch over her girls.
She was a devout member of the Catholic Church. Mary had a legendary sweet tooth, loved word search puzzles and watching her "soaps". She lived her life as a role model with vitality few have.
A Memorial service will take place on Friday, October 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Heaven Church, 5311 Phoenix Avenue NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
