Mary Ann Boatman "Kowalski", 69, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away unexpectedly on August 4, 2022 in Hope, NJ. Mary Ann was born on August 21, 1952 in Hackettstown, NJ to the late Frank and Jennie Kowalski. Mary Ann was a graduate of Hackettstown High school class of 1970. She had a roadside stand that she worked at and was very proud of, and she enjoyed making cards for her family and friends. Mary Ann had a truly caring and giving heart, and her door was always open to anyone in need, no questions asked. She was active in St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Great Meadows, NJ, volunteering in the Rosary society and many other ministries. Mary Ann's smile would light up any room the second she entered it. She will be missed by every person who had the opportunity of knowing this truly amazing woman. She is survived by her loving children; Jennifer Mulhall and husband Chris and Albert Boatman and companion Pam. Mary Ann also leaves behind to whom she considered her cherished grandchildren; Danny O'Keefe and fiancé Alexa, Courtney Baryiewski and husband Ted, and their children; Grace, Emmy, and Jack Baryiewski, and her many cousins that were like her siblings, and all of her friends that were family to her. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM at Maguire- Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Parking will be limited at the funeral home and we urge people to park in the surrounding municipal parking lots. A mass of Catholic burial will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at St. Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, Great Meadows, NJ. Burial at Pequest Union Cemetery will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mary Ann's name to Saint Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church, 360 US-46, Great Meadows, NJ 07838.
