Martha Propsner

Martha Propsner, of Belvidere NJ, peacefully passed away on September 27, 2023, in Hackettstown NJ at the age of 66.

She was born on November 28, 1956, in Summit NJ, to the late Arthur Emil Propsner and the late Leona Mary Propsner (nee Czarnecki).

Martha grew up in Scotch Plains NJ and Westfield NJ. She graduated from Westfield High School, in Westfield NJ in 1974. And about four years later, she graduated from Rutgers University, Cook College in New Brunswick NJ, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology. During her professional career, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry in regulatory affairs at several pharmaceutical companies.

As a teen and young adult, she was involved with 4-H, horseback riding, backpacking, hiking, swimming, and running. As a runner, Martha competed in numerous marathons. She loved animals and, since her youth, had many dogs and cats over the years. And Martha fostered several dogs, until they could find their forever homes. She also loved to cook and bake, sharing her culinary delights with her family, especially at birthday and holiday celebrations and other special occasions. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Martha also liked to travel, traveling for both work and pleasure.

She is survived by brothers, Mark and Paul; sisters, Diane, Joanne, Joyce and Nancy; nieces, Catherine and Julia; nephews, Andrew, Peter, Michael, and Dominic; an uncle, Theodore; cousins, Richard, Dorothy, Sandy, Lori, and Gregory; and brother-in-law, Richard.

A Mass of Roman Catholic burial will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:30 am at Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 103 Gould Ave., Caldwell NJ. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 12:30 pm at Pequest Union Cemetery, 30 Cemetery Rd., Great Meadows NJ.
