Marilyn J Bechtold

Marilyn Julie Bechtold, 88 of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, born there, on June 7, 1935, transitioned peacefully on August 29, 2023 at Warren Haven Nursing Home in beautiful Oxford, NJ. She joins her parents Mildred (Andersen) and George Kemly, her beloved husband Theodore Andrew Bechtold, and son Theodore Andrew Bechtold as well as many more beloved family and friends that she shared many good times with.

She leaves behind loving daughter Marilyn Freiwald, beloved granddaughter Eva Jennings and her husband Anthony and great- grands Makayla and Ryder Jennings. She always had lots of fun with them and all of her cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers and lifelong friends.

She graduated Fort Hamilton High School and Hunter College majoring in English. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority and Bay Ridge Community Council. She worked her way up through Aetna, Equitable and Guardian Insurance Companies affording her the ability to enjoy theater, museums and restaurants in NYC.

An avid reader and English history buff her dreams came true travelling solo or with friends all over Europe and the Eastern USA.

A celebration of Marilyn's life and her internment in Staten Island will be held privately for family.

In lieu if flowers donations may be made in her name to Warren Haven Nursing Home, 350 Oxford Rd, Oxford, NJ 07863, as thanks to them and Ascend Hospice for their caring, loving care.
