Marie A Wyman

Marie A. Wyman (nee Mullen), 91, a longtime resident of Hackensack, NJ, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on October 26, 2022 at her current residence, Colonial Manor at Panther Valley, Hackettstown. She was lovingly cared for by her aide Amanda Serrano for three years prior to her death.

Born on February 26, 1931 to the late Michael J. Mullen and Agnes Dolan Watt, Marie was predeceased by her twin sister Delores J. Schwab, her daughter Christine Marie Wyman, and her son Grant F. Wyman.

Beloved wife of the late Kirk E. Wyman Sr., they married in 1953. Together they celebrated 67 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2020. Devoted mother, Marie is survived by her loving children; Jody Fitzpatrick and her husband Steven, Kirk E. Wyman Jr., Linda Machtemes and her husband Mark, and Dana Boniface and her husband Stephen. She was the proud grandmother to 6 grandsons, 3 granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.

Marie’s commitment to her loved ones was ever apparent. She was always present and supportive of others’ needs and interests. Her children recall her joyful presence as the loudest cheerleader at their sporting events and throughout all aspects of their lives. Marie could always be relied on to provide team snacks at every sporting event, and offer a ride in the family station wagon to anyone in need.

In addition to dedicating her life to her immediate and extended family, Marie led operations for the business she and her husband established, Kirk Electric Inc. She was a force of nature and enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her family. Marie was the president of the school PTA throughout her children’s school years. She was a member of the Woman’s Club and was faithfully involved with the Paramus Community Church.

Her life’s passion was the Jersey Shore, where she loved spending summers with her children and grandchildren. Her love of the shore and the beach has been passed down through generations.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:30 AM at George Washington Memorial Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
