Margaret M. Buch, 63, of Great Meadows, NJ passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2017 with her loving family and friends by her side. Margaret was born January 13, 1954, in Dublin, Ireland to the late Finbarr and Margaret Hurney. Raised in Ireland, Margaret graduated high school in Dublin. Upon moving to America she lived in Port Murray, NJ. In 1995, she married the love of her life, Lawrence Buch. She was employed for many years in the travel industry, working most recently for Katarina Travel. Margaret was a devout Catholic who admired Saint Teresa of Calcutta and who enjoyed praying the Rosary with friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed walking, gardening and decorating her house. She was an excellent cook and put her love into every meal she prepared for her family and friends. Always wanting to help others, she volunteered for many years for Meals on Wheels, many church events and fundraisers. She fundraised for several years for the Soroptimist organization. She was loved by all she met and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 21 years, Lawrence Buch, her loving daughter, Caitlin Anna. Her caring siblings, a sister Irene Cleary and her husband Dennis and a brother, Patrick Hurney and his wife Ann. Also her cherished nephews, Mark and Patrick and adored nieces, Louise and Suzanne Family and Friends may pay their respects on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4-8 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Assumption, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown
