Margaret Abdelgany, 90, formerly of Budd Lake, NJ passed away on September 18, 2022 at Morristown Medical Center, in Morristown, NJ

Born Margueritte Fouad Maalouf on March 22, 1932 to the late Fouad Soliman Maalouf and Josephine Ashkar in Cairo, Egypt.

Margaret married the love of her life Mamdouh Abdelgany, together they celebrated 43 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002. She worked as a switchboard operator and an Haute Couture dress maker in Egypt prior to coming to the United States. Margaret enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, baking and was an avid reader. Above all, she loved Children and taking care of the family. She will be greatly missed.

Margaret is survived by her loving children; son, Michael Kennedy and his wife Rebecca, daughter, Mona Hiserodt and her husband John, her cherished grandchild; Sydney Hiserodt. She is also survived by her siblings in Australia; her brother Joseph Maalouf and his children Chris and Rupen. Sister Fernande Mantelli, and her children Ugo, Floriana, Fulvia and Ubaldino. Her sister Barbara Beck. Her sister Andree O’Donnell and her children Mark, Josette, Christiane and Nicole. Her siblings in Egypt; brother Adel Maalouf and his children Raymond, Daniel and Roger, and brother Bissot Maalouf. And her late sister Renee Sanki’s children; Marianne, Nando and Antoine Sanki. Her Late brother Soliman Maalouf’s children Christine, and Therese who resides Canada.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 9 -10:30 AM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 302 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Burial will take place at Union Cemetery in Hackettstown.
