Lois M. Age

Lois M. Age, 81, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully at Hackettstown hospital on April 8, 2017 with her family by her side.
Lois was born on December 7, 1935 in Queens, NY, to the late Fredrick and Matilda Mathesie. Lois was employed as an executive secretary for Suburban Propane prior to her retirement in 2001. She was of the Methodist faith and a parishioner of Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown. Lois enjoyed traveling and cooking. Her family and friends loved when she made her delicious potato salad. She avidly watched the QVC channel. Above all of her hobbies and enjoyments what she treasured most was the time spent with family. Her children and grandchildren were her world. She will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Emile Age, her loving children, Steven R. Ivory and his wife Kordes, and Lisa A. Higgins and her husband Pete. Her 5 cherished grandchildren, Alyssa, Molly, Amanda, Crystal and Morgan.
Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home. Entombment will take place at Hackettstown Union Cemetery in Hackettstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lois's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Scala Memorial Home.
