Lillian Pruden

Lillian Pruden, 98, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on September 1, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Lillian was born on April 25, 1928 in Byram, NJ to the late George and Lillian Ike (Whitehead).

She was a long time resident of Netcong. She married the love of her life Ralph A Pruden on Sept.8, 1945. They were married 61 years before Ralph's passing. Previously residing in Jermyn, Pa, she moved back to Hackettstown 20 years ago. As a parishioner of Grace Baptist Church in Netcong, Lillian was very involved in teaching Sunday school, Bible school, and Pioneer girls. Lillian was very artistic and enjoyed painting, sewing and interior decorating. She loved her family and every moment spent together. She will be greatly missed.

Lillian is survived by her loving children, Timothy Pruden and his wife Karen. Christine and her son in law Joseph Garofalo. She is preceded by her second son Ralph R. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 9 great- great- grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Continental Drive, Netcong, NJ 07857.

Donations may be made in Lillian's name to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High St. Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
