Lawrence J Kristoff

January 15, 1942 — January 21, 2021

Lawrence J. Kristoff, 79, of Bangor, PA formerly of Great Meadows, NJ passed away peacefully on January 21, 2021 at his daughter's home with his loving family by his side.
Lawrence was born on January 15, 1942 in Newton, NJ to the late Andrew and Anna Kristoff.
He married the love of his life Patricia who in the most heartfelt words tells his life story best.
"Well…. Larry's on the road again. This time to a higher place. My thoughts are he is so busy walking around heaven just as fast as he can. Visiting all our relatives and friends that have gone on before us to be at peace. One of Larry's most enjoyable past times was to go to as many of his grandchildren's games that he could get to. Soccer, baseball and basketball.
His other love (beside Sweet-Pea) were his Model A Fords and our Model A friends. He loved Jacktown and Five Acres flea market where he would come home with his earthly treasures. Larry was a truck driver his entire life. He loved working for Gene Lynch Trucking. We met on a blind date when I was 16 and he was 19 ½. Dated for 4 years and had 54 years of a wonderful marriage. We raised 4 beautiful daughters and are blessed with 12 grandchildren. We had many happy years of camping. We had many years traveling with our own Model A. When we purchased our farm in Muncy, PA our lives were very busy with planting, mowing and shearing Christmas trees, thousands of them. It was a full and happy life. Then the dreadful day of November 20, 2012 when Larry had a massive, massive stroke and our lives changed forever. Larry had damage in 3 parts of his brain. No matter how hard he tried, he never had the balance to walk on his own again. His daughters never gave up either. It was years of therapy, stationary bike riding and walking him. Son-in-laws always on hand to help and grandchildren always visiting, writing letters and drawing cards. When Larry had his stroke he received over 200 cards and notes. We are so very blessed to have such a loving family and loving friends. I thank you all for your love and support."
Larry is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Patricia Kristoff (nee: Gestl), his loving daughters, Suzanne Buchanan and her husband Rob; Christine Haffling and her husband Randy; Kathryn Wilk and her husband Stash; and Jennifer Williams and her husband John. His cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Christopher, William and Jonathan Buchanan; Stephanie, Lauren, Connor and Rachel Haffling; Jacob, Sarah and Nicholas Wilk and Julia Williams. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Andrew and Robert Kristoff. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother Edward Kristoff.
