Kenneth (Kenny) Darrol Orr, 78, of Mount Olive, NJ passed away peacefully on October 17, 2023 at Hackettstown Medical Center with his loving family by his side.
Kenny was born on September 6, 1945 in Honesdale, PA to the late Frank and Margaret (Farr) Orr.
Upon graduating high school, Kenny proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed in the Korean DMZ during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a bank courier for Vermont National Bank prior to his retirement in 1994. Kenny previously resided in Brattleboro, VT, New Port Richey, FL and Plainville, GA. He was a devoted NY Yankees fan and seldom missed watching a game. He enjoyed softball, baseball, golf and was in a bowling league. Kenny was a member of the Stanhope American Legion, the Brattleboro VFW, and the New Port Richey NCOA. Above all, he loved his family and friends and treasured every moment spent with them. Kenny will be greatly missed.
Kenny is survived by his loving daughters, Nicole Zolnoski (Lori Walters) and Sarah Orr; his stepchildren, Kerry Bailey (David Taylor), Kristen Funk (Nickless Calbert) and Kevin Nowicki; his grandchildren, Brennen Zolnoski, Kaitlyn and Lily Bailey, Kevin and Matthew Funk and Devante Calbert; and his great granddaughter Kassidy Fenton. Kenny leaves behind his siblings; David (Judy), Paul (Alice), Byron, Keith (Roxanne), Gloria Jeanne Metzger (Frank) and sister-in-laws Marylou Orr and Janet Orr as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Frank and Margaret Orr, he is preceded in death by his son Cecil Kevin Orr, and his siblings; Richard, Donald, Vincent, Frank Jr., Allan, Doris, Lois, Beverly Pronko and Elwin.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940
