Katherine Szcwciuk

Katherine Szcwciuk, 95, of Great Meadows, NJ and previously of Brooklyn, NY passed away peacefully at home on May 20, 2020 with loved ones by her side.
Katherine was born on January 19, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Michael and Natasha Abramchik.
Katherine worked at the American Can Company in Washington, NJ for many years. She also worked as a teacher-aide in Brooklyn, NY. She was an avid reader and especially mysteries.
Katherine is survived by her daughter; Connie Szcwciuk, granddaughters; Elaine Genute and her husband Michael, and Jamie Mulholland. She is also survived by 6 great grandchildren; Alexander, Athen, and Jett Genute and Eric A., Tanner, and Khloe Mulholland. She is also survived by her special friends; Christina Paftinos, Eleni, and Vaios. In addition to her parents, Katherine is predeceased by her husband, Theodore, a son; Theodore Jr., a daughter; Christine, and a brother; Michael Abramchik.
Due to Covid-19 and the New Jersey public gathering restrictions, all services and burial at Pequest Union Cemetery are private at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
