Julie Ann Blanchard

Julie Ann Blanchard, 74, of Great Meadows, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2024, at Morristown Medical Center with her loving family by her side.

Julie was born on April 29, 1950, in Newton, NJ, to the late William and Miriam Ritzer. A lifelong resident of Hackettstown, NJ, and the surrounding area, Julie was especially proud of her Hart family heritage and deep family roots in Hackettstown, and she continued that tradition by raising her family there, as well.

Julie was most recently employed as an Assistant to Dr. Gary Quartello in Hackettstown for many years prior to her retirement in April 2021. She enjoyed crafts, such as crocheting and quilting, and her favorite entertainers were John Denver and Elvis. Julie was an avid reader who also liked playing online games and traveling with friends. Above all, she loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Julie will be missed by all those who knew her.

She is survived by her loving children, Richard Blanchard Jr. and his wife Luann, Robert Blanchard and his wife Mariann, and Karen Jewell and her husband Daleray; her adored grandchildren, Shaina Newsome and her husband Brian, Britney Kozarek, Robert Blanchard and his fiancé Destini Benson, and Taylor Blanchard and her companion Brian Hayes; and three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Newsome, Bellamy Newsome, and Gage Tuggle. She also leaves behind a brother, John Ritzer, a brother-in-law, Daniel Reed, and a niece, Jennifer Reed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Joellen Reed, and a grandson, Kyle Blanchard.

Abiding by Julie’s wishes, all services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julie’s name to a charity of one’s choice.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home
