Julia Bella, 96, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on November 6, 2016.
She was born on February 3, 1920, in the Bronx, New York to Giuseppe and Zina Catalano.
Prior to moving to Hackettstown, Julia resided in East Stroudsburg and Camp Hill, PA. She was employed as a clerk for the Pennsylvania State Police prior to her retirement. Julia was always there to help anyone. She volunteered at local schools and at St. Matthews Church. Julia had a beautiful voice and was a part of the Golden Chords choir in East Stroudsburg. She was very artistic and loved to draw, paint and do crafts. She enjoyed going to the movies, eating out and treating family to her superb cooking. An avid gardener, Julia loved animals and all of nature and supported conservation efforts. Above all she loved her family and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter Diana Bella and her husband Bob Klein, her step-grandchildren, Bonnie Ball and Michael Klein, two nieces, Janet DiBono and Marilyn Fontanetta and nephew Bill Fontanetta. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband Ted Bella, a brother, Dario Catalano and a nephew, Thomas Bella.
In abiding with the family's wishes, services will be private.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Scala Memorial Home.
