John D. Kimble, 72, of Port Murray, NJ and previously of Washington, NJ, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2019 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Phillipsburg, NJ.
John was born on March 21, 1947 at home in Port Colden, NJ to the late Charles and Marie Kimble.
John was a graduate of Hackettstown High School class of 1967. After high school, he joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. During his time in the Navy, John worked as a boiler operator and on the USS Bon Homme Richard. After being honorably discharged, John married the love of his life, Jennie. Utilizing his skills he learned in the Navy, John worked for Hoffman- La Rouche in Belvidere, NJ for many years as a boiler operator. John was a member of the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club and a member of the VFW in Washington, NJ. He enjoyed riding and working on his Harley Davidson in his spare time.
John is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Jennie, and their two sons, John David Kimble and Charles Arnold Kimble.
In addition to his parents, John is predeceased by his brothers Charles, Jim, and Thomas Kimble.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:15 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. Funeral service will be held immediately following in the funeral home. Burial will be held at Rockport Cemetery, Port Colden, NJ.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in John's name to Jennie Kimble, C/O Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, to help with John's services.
