Joan began her journey by earning a Bachelor's Degree from Kean University, where she nurtured her thirst for knowledge and cultivated a lifelong love of learning. Following her studies, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a Supervisor for the Star Ledger Newspaper, where she brought her exceptional leadership skills and dedication to every task.
Joan's faith played a central role in her life, as she was an active member of Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church in Long Valley, NJ. Her unwavering devotion to her spirituality provided her with strength and guidance throughout her life.
In 1966, Joan married the love of her life, Rocco Siravo, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. They were inseparable, supporting and encouraging each other through life's joys and challenges.
Joan's artistic talents were a true reflection of her vibrant spirit and brilliance. She was a gifted artist, finding solace and joy in the world of painting and all forms of Arts & Crafts. Additionally, she found peace in knitting and spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces that brought warmth and love to those around her. Her passion for gardening allowed her to create colorful and serene spaces that brought tranquility to her home.
Joan's deep love for her family was unparalleled. She spent years meticulously collecting data for her family ancestry, ensuring that the stories and history of her loved ones would be preserved for generations to come. Her dedication to family was evident in everything she did, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Joan Siravo's departure leaves a void in the lives of those who loved her. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love will forever be remembered and cherished. May she rest in eternal peace, knowing that her legacy lives on through the love and memories she leaves behind.
Family and friends may pay their respect on Thursday, June 6, 2024 from 6-9 PM at Maguire Memorial Home & Cremation Services, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Mountain Catholic Church, 2 Springtown Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853. Entombment will take place at Hackettstown Mausoleum, 153 Mountain Avenue, Hackettstown, NJ 07840
