Joan H Sedlock

Joan H. Sedlock, 94, of Ledgewood, NJ passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025 in Mendham, NJ.

Joan was born on October 1, 1930 in Wilmington, Delaware to the late Harry and Helen Hushebeck.

She was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Catholic High School in Wilmington. She married the love of her life William G. Sedlock in 1954. Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002. Joan was a devoted mother and a friend to all. She enjoyed home improvements and fixing cars. She loved gardening and making sure her lawn was pristine. She enjoyed golf, walking and was the score keeper for the Ledgewood swim team. She enjoyed watching all sports on television especially tennis. She would often take road trips with no particular destination in mind she just liked to drive. Above all she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.

Joan is survived by her loving children; J. James Sedlock and his friend Abby Olshefski , Mary Sedlock and her husband Victor Lucero, Robin Sedlock, Patricia Schwarz and her husband Robert. She also leaves behind her caring grandchildren; Mark Flatt, Carly Poyatt and her husband Chris and Samuel Schwarz. In addition to her husband William, she is preceded in death by a son, C. William Sedlock.

A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
