Joan 'Joni' Cowles

Joan "Joni" Malavarca-Cowles, 71, of Randolph, NJ passed away suddenly at her home in Randolph, NJ Joni was born on September 25, 1949 in Newark, NJ to the late Louis and Mary Malavarca. Joni worked on Wall Street as a stock broker for many years. She married the love of her life K.C Cowles out of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Together they enjoyed shopping for antiques and window shopping. Joni loved flea markets, always looking for her next treasure. Being an art major she had a love for art. She will be sadly missed.
She is survived by her devoted husband K.C Cowles, her loving brother Steven Malavarca, her caring sister-in-law Catherine Malavarca and her treasured nieces and nephews, Evan, Jenna, Samantha and Lucas.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Richard Malavarca.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 1-3 PM at the Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840 Memorial service will immediately follow visitation at 3:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flower, donations may be made in Joni's name to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maguire-Scala Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840, (908)852-2420
