Joan C Barno

Joan C. Barno, 76, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on June 21, 2020 at home with her loving family by her side. Joan was born on January 21, 1944 in Vintondale, PA to the late Robert and Susan (Herrick) Grant. Joan earned a degree in physiology and nursing at Bergen Community College. She was employed in the Accounts Receivable Department for the corporate office of Toys r Us in Wayne, NJ prior to her retirement in 2013. Joan enjoyed reading her Bible, gardening and watching old movies on TCM. She was a fabulous cook and enjoyed doing so for her family. She loved her children and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. She will be greatly missed. Joan is survived by her loving children, Joseph Barno of Hackettstown, NJ and Robert Barno and his wife Jean of Chester,NJ. Her cherished grandchildren; Joseph, Evelyn, Grant, Erin, Sara, Ian and Dylan. Also her caring siblings; Robert, William, Kathy Rearick (Jack), and John. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings; Mary LaMagna, Thomas, Dorothy Grant, Alice Lukehart and Lillian Gulakowski. A graveside service celebrating Joan's life will be held on Friday June 26, 2020 at 11:00A.M.
