Jean Gjerstad

Jean Gjerstad, 95, of Hackettstown, NJ (formerly of Brooklyn NY) passed away peacefully on January 29, 2022 at Regency Grand Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dover, NJ
Jean was born on July 2, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to the late Olaf and Mabel Gjerstad.
Jean was employed as an Insurance underwriter for Hall Insurance prior to her retirement. She loved going to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. She was an avid reader and always read the NY Times. Jean loved dogs and attending dog shows although she never owned one. She was an avid NY Yankees fan and loved watching Phil Michelson play golf.
Jean is survived by her loving nephew Kenneth Wiley and his wife Mayumi, 3 nieces, 1 nephew and 3 great-nephews.
Per Jean's wishes, all services will be private.
