Janice Mary Sullivan

Janice Mary Sullivan, 79, of Hackettstown, NJ passed away peacefully on August 11, 2026 at home with her loving husband by her side.

Janice was born on August 31, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Frank and Zora Celigoj.

She married the love of her life, David Sullivan, in 1966. Residing in Chester, NJ for over 30 years, they moved to Panther Valley in 2012. Janice earned 2 degrees in college. She earned a degree in elementary education from National College of Education in Illinois. She then went on to earn her degree in design from Centenary University. She had her own interior design business for many years prior to her retirement in 2023. Janice was an Episcopalian and a member of the Church of the Messiah in Chester, NJ. She was an avid reader, loved music, played piano and sang in many choirs over the years. Janice was also a talented artist, painting many treasures that will be enjoyed for years to come. Above all she loved her family and the time spent with them. She will be greatly missed.

Janice is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years David Sullivan, her loving children, David Sullivan, Jr. and Emily Sullivan and her husband David Nikstaitis, 2 granddaughters, Erin and Leah Nikstaitis, a brother, Frank Celigoj and his wife Pravanrat Pichayapaisarn, and a sister, Kathy Aburto and her husband Julio.

A memorial service celebrating Janice's life will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Messiah, 50 State Route 24 West, Chester, NJ. 07930. Reception to follow in the parish hall.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Maguire Memorial Home, 124 High Street, Hackettstown, NJ 07840.
